What Discussion Forum?
It's been quite a hard time finding a good active discussion forum to kill some time and shout out some words. A few forums i found on net are just too messy and inactive.
Anyone knows of any good discussion board about anything from social to politics... but not personal or romantic stuff. Really wana be participative in ones so as to share ideas and also to learn of some new perspectives as well as knowledges.
Also like to go into a violent one just to see how people react from their gut feelings.
Pls drop me a msg if u happen to know any. Appreciate that :-)

Rights to Shut Up?
I'm quite fascinated about this Cambodian parliment regulation that doesn't allow a less-than-10-member party to debate in the National Assembly. What are their roles then in the parliment? Aren't they also representatives of a group of people who appointed them to talk on their behalfs?
While the regulation is adopted from other well established constituations in countries such as France and Britain, I strongly oppose the rule as i don't think it's rational, fair, or just to do so.
CPP lawmaker Jeam Yeap commented that it is regulated so that the time can be better controlled for each member to speak up as there are quite a number of them there. But i don't think it is at all a good reason for that all of them are supposed to finetune their policies, strategies, and goals - especially the recently debated national budget - to the best for the country. It should take quite some time to do that and i doubt how long the parliment was spending on discussing the issue. Furthermore, i think not all those CPP and SRP lawmakers would be talking as they've supposedly dicussed among their groups before the meeting. Adding few more crops of people wouldn't take that much of time, and it's theoretically even more important when those are from adversary groups.
Yeah although i don't like the Human Right party, especially the leader, i think they should have the rights to express their ideas in the parliment.

Lee Kuan Yew's Quote About Cambodia
In an effort to find out how my country was during the 1960s as rumors said that Cambodia then was a jewel of Asia... I found out this one quote, quite satisfactory though not yet confirmed to me that my country was really so.
Anyway, here's what he said then:
Up to the late 1960s, Cambodia was the shining star of Indo-China, a confluence of intellectuals, traders, artists and bourgeois who lived, played and worked there. Phnom Penh was the jewel of Asia then. Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore visited Cambodia in April 1967 at the invitation of Prince Norodom Sihanouk. Cruising along the capital's elegant boulevards in a Mercedes convertible, Lee turned to his host and said, "I hope, one day, my city will look like this".

This kind of quotes or rumors really make my heart cool, warm, and at the same time hot... the inconvenient saying.

Before departing out of this world, we would love to see what we have done to help our country outpace others especially those in the region.
We surely could do that and our ancestors did so; at least during king Sihanouk's time, he did it. Whatever happened next were lessons. The Khmers were great people, at least for certain times. I won't lose this inspiration.
Let's collaborate and cooperate. We need to run fast... faster than ever at an unprecedented pace.

It's pretty annoying to read about totally different things on two different newspapers.
Newspapers, journalists... all bounded by self-biases... talking about their own thoughts and understanding while ignoring the facts.
Escalation of tension due to the problem of people reading only from one side of arguments. When listening to both, they would understand the reportes and/or the informants are damn unethical.
I wish i could do sth about it. Just don't understand what's going on. Wana bring all these ppl tgd and fight in front of everyone. And see how they could cheat us, the audience, again.

Some Interesting News Lately...
1. Thai and Cambodian soldiers finally opened fire on each other. 2 thai and 1 khmer injured. While the Cambodian officials said, according to ChannelNewsAsia and RFA, the Thais triggered the fire first, the Thai counterpart said otherwise, according to the Bangkok Post. Information bias...
2. A commentary from a Thai lady criticising Thai history class teaching their kids about fake history and fool patriotism: Thai text books say Burma is fierce, Cambodia can't be trusted, and Lao is inferior.
3. Prime Minister Hun Sen calls Cambodian workers to come back and work at home, claiming there are more works for them now with better wages than working in Thailand.
4. The government's initiatives, including the CNN 6-mth campaign, to promote and brand Cambodia; World of Wonder.

Prospects for Cambodia
Since now the government is dominated by only one party, we could foresee more stability in the political environment and would thus anticipate many more investments coming in. One party means lower political risk for the investors; however, politcal hazard increases, and the prospect would lie down to how competent and ambitious that one party is or that one person is.
For the moment, let's just cheer up the government's initiatives, including the CNN 6-mth campaign, to promote the country's tourism industry with the newly-built brand name: Cambodia, World of Wonder. The advertising campaign is one among many others that we all have been aspiring to see... Remember Vireak was wondering on how we should brand Cambodia, and i think some of us did give the right guess to this adopted slogan.
Cambodia needs to move and move fast... i hope the government, mainly our respected Prime Minister Hun Sen, would try to show off his bigger ambition to make a good history of himself and the nation. We are all looking forwards to seeing more actions from the government... the stock market establishment, corruption law, commercial law institution, vast infrastructure development, and, of course, better education system are among those we need to make the move.
Let's Cheer Up!
Btw, i don't support the PM's ban on beauty contest... I don't see anything wrong with that... Encourage the girls to bring out their best in beauty and that's health of the nation. Can't you see that we all work for that beauty.

.. on the dream to get that girl next door down for a date!
Yeah.. if only I have time for it... I wana do it... i really wana see i can do it. May you be with me, father.

There Must Be No Concessions.
I've heard too much of peace and calmness of the people of Cambodia while the Thais have been barking even onto of our faces. I can't believe that we've learnt a lot, or too much, from a great peaceful wisdom.
I've been so upset to read about history coz it just hurts my feeling... why my people were so weak to have these enemies invade and take over the land.
But now I'm in the kind of those situations.. I kinda understand the reason.. why. The Khmers are always ready to give, to make concession... almost all become Bhudda. At least several of friends i've talked to regarding the issue (or even me sometimes).
The Thais have no shame or offend to be called a robber, a thief, or a tiger... The Khmers are ready to give..to be a little peaceful deer.
Everyone loves their people and their land.. but the problem is they love themselves more than anything else.. Nothing wrong there. But imagine.. we are trying to study to enjoy our lives while those people are fighting off the war for nothing but $20 a month to support their family. Nothing wrong here either coz they're just different ways of making a selfish living. Such a shame on me. I've been calling these fighters as cowards.
But when asked if i'm ready to serve in the battle, i feel i have too much opportunity costs to do so. I'm afraid I die in the battlemountain. Emm.. looking forwards to the payoff of our opportunity costs..
My men... and my ladies... probably each of us should bear some responsibility.. protecting the land you're born in for that it is the land that those many fighters bled all their blood to make a mark.. Kampuja. I call for a National Service for every man and woman in Cambodia. So that I won't lose my opportunity cost to go to the war and die. I hope to know how hard it is just to protect and build the glory of a nation.

My Preah Vihear... Cambodia
My land.. the land my father built up... has been recroached over again and again. I don't know if it can last. I'm nothing...
It's always good to stay in peace and walk together as brothers, but it's not and will never be the case. As far as i remember from father; we can only enjoy our peace when we are strong and able to guard and protect ourselves.
The Khmers!... the Cambodians, the people of Kampujesda, we need to prepare ourselves... It's time to take on training... serving in national services. We are now weak, so weak and have been weak and fragile for several centuries... some time ago, our Kampuja disappeared on the world map. My father alerted me long before that. I Lost.
My father treasured peace and he wouldn't return to rebuild the glory anymore.. he's enlighted. He told me simply: Protect the legacy of the land and people of Kampujesda... and I remember his last word upon his leaving: Be strong, my son.
Emm... father!

Haya... don't have enough sleep lately. Gota go sleep now; hope i won't wake up for the next whole month.
If given one, what would you wish for in your life?
i would wish that i woke up one day.. Hohoo I'M back in the 12 century in my old land, the GREAT land, the only land where water flows backwards... AND YOU KNOW WHAT, i would be the protector, the great warrior.. and all khmers would remember my name. I'd live and die in the great city and my land'd prosper for millennia ahead..
oh god, how beautiful my cities and my people were...

I Never Fail...
First time applying for job... Don't really know what i want to do. All the internship postings are just not so right. I did apply to a few companies anyway. Got one interview with GE Supply Asia, good pay, good job. Requirement: professional and competent.
Did not sound so right with me, but just tried to write in. Luckily, i got to the interview. 2 times. After the interview, i felt very confident that i was qualified, and was hoping to get the job. Stopped applying for other companies. For two weeks the company was still finalizing its decision. Followed up every other few days; eventually:
-I would like to know the status of my application.
-Oh we've just made the selection.
-Yeah; but could you tell me the result of my application?
-Emm we've already make the selection.
Oh shit i understood... So... I'm jobless...
First time failure in life... that excludes the love attempts and others...
Thought i never fail.. but it looked like i was wrong... It's not the matter that i fail though.. but i'm unemployed and broke now..
If you would like to help, please donate to my bank account:

Lucks to Khmer Girls
Been very interested in RAPE case, which is getting so popular in Cambodia. Sharing my sorrows with those innocent victims. Were thinking it's kinda crazy for all these girls being born in such a country, BUT now the next page reads me that these girls are even luckier than some others in other countries.
From BBC, Raped Girls Sent to Prison for Their Misconduct. According to the Islamic law, Pakistan, if a girl who is raped cannot prove that the SEXual act occured without her consent, she will be charged and jailed (possibly to life time prisonment). Another point of interest: If the raped girl gets pregnant, it must be of preconsensual sex, Zina, which is a major sin and an evil path; thus she must be jailed. And it is a luck if she doesn't get pregnant after sex. (Only preconsensual sex can let her bear baby! Interesting religious science!)
Afterall, the girl who, so called, allows herself to be raped would be still jailed very simply coz she allows herself to be raped, going unaccompanied, giving romance, or seducing to the guy(victim).
A jailed rape-victimised girl comments to BBC: "The law is not good (wrong interpretation or misunderstanding), but the God, Allah, is good. He sets our path. We're destined to be..."
UN is asking for an amendment to the Zina and Rape law of Pakistan.
From the day I know how to think... God has cheated us all for over two milleniums. God cheats us coz we allows him to do so. I wonder:
-how my people throw rice on the ground while hungers are lying on the floor,
-how people offer food to those fat monks while hungers are lying on the floor,
-how people build those big temples while hungers are lying on the floor,
-how these fat monks get all these delicous food i've never tasted before,
-how these people coming to monkhood while their children and family are getting so poor,
-How these people are fighting each other to death so that their God could live so pure
-I wish one day i could kick all these Gods's asses.

Cambodia: Overall Review (Part I) :-)
We talk about Cambodia (I mean our country.).
Rationally, we shouldn't be poor (I mean our country). Geographically, Cambodia's situated in a vast area of fertile flat land that is rarely annoyed by weather or god. Sufficient water system. Tropical weather. Rich in resources (some more: newly found oil stock stupid). Beautiful. No volcanos, earthquakes, turnados, tsunami.. whatever...
Maybe the people are stupid.. but it shouldn't be the case. Historically, those big monuments should reveal great intelligences of these people (I mean our people). Or these people are already perished or faded with other races?... emm.
I always try to look on how a country develops... (should take some economic courses).. pardon my wild understanding and messy sharing...
I find businesses generate cash for the economy and come as investment forms, domestic and foreign. Since locals don't own sufficient resources, it depends to a great extend on foreign investments. So it lies down to how attractive the country is to those foreign investments. The country's small size is not a hindrance to its attractiveness. It is those controllable factors that the government is not capable of transforming. Inability. Disability. Stupidity. Ignorance. Dull. Null. Nut. Naked. Embarrasing. enough... stop scolding. See what we can improve!
whether you're engineers, marketeers, economists (corrupted people), businessmen (exploiting people).. come paint Cambodia (i mean our country) better (i mean brighter).
i wana make it a useful thought.. but it's just a shame (i mean rubbish).

- A country's well developped because the leader is smart, and vice versa. The old day, a country ran according to a person's direction. The prosperity then was determined by that person's ability (I mean: smart or stupid). I wonder in this young day why it goes the same way.
- Finding comparative advantage for Cambodia.
- Recent outlook. World rice demands increase in supply shortages. Thailand, biggest rice exporter, exported 9-10 million tonnes a year, while VN, second player, 3-4 m tonnes, and offnumbered Cambodia, 1.5 m tonnes. Look at production: Thailand and Vietnam's average rice yield = 4.5 tonnes/ha; Cambodia, 2.4 tonnes/ha. Cambodia looking at leading the market by exporting 8 m tonnes in coming years (ambitious?). Outlook: Cambodia still utilizes much less paddy fields than in the 60s. Improved production yield. Higher competitive advantage for planting. Expelled sick disabled gov't body.
- Tourism. Thailand's international tourist arrivals numbers at 14.8 millions, Singapore = 10.3 m, VN = 4 m, and Cambodia is very excited with 2 m. That gov't doesn't know how to exploit the opportunity, but knows well how to exploit its ignorant people. With that great Angkor as a selling point... come on, be creative, people!
- Timber and rubber (haven't skimmed on this yet)... anyway, cut all the trees...
- Garments...
Let's find competitives advantage for Cambodia. Singapore = financial hub, Malaysia = manufacturing hub, Thailand = everything hub... now branding Cambodia!
Sons and daughters of the great empire! Shame on you people. You don't know what to do! Beside speaking!whether you're engineers, marketeers, economists (corrupted people), businessmen (exploiting people).. come paint Cambodia (i mean our country) better (i mean brighter).

LET'S DANCE!
New year's coming... Let's dance, folks.
So sad, including this year i'd have missed new year dancing for 3 years already... oh god, i miss it so much...
Recall again and again, i dared to dance only for the first time just before i came to singapore. And i really loved it, now no more chance to dance :-(
Oh that girl! that 16 yo girl that i used to take around with my her motorbike will also be gone after this year's new year, sadly to my br :-((
Anyway, let's dance!
probably one of the reason that i can't live outside cambodia is this precious dancing opportunity :-)
btw, i feel: taking a cute girl around on that motorbike was really something! emm i also think her mother loves me more, oh dear! i'm gona miss you.

Conclusions: the Cambodians
A few conclusions from a debate among Cambodian scholars:
1. Cambodians are sadly not clever, especially its leaders from generation to generation. And amazingly, we're stupid in the same old pattern.
2. Hopeless. The Cambodians don't know what to do to make their country better. The only hope is to wait for the older lame lame generation to die off this hell. And we never know whether the next guy who leads Cambodia is clever enough. Imagine highly western educated scholar like Pol Pot can be that fucking stupid. The next generation of Cambodians?
3. Apparently, there's no such a thing as a visionary man in Cambodia. Except for the stone temple makers, we're nothing (null for generations). Sometimes we should stop talking too much about those temples.
We always offend the Thais calling as stupid, but maybe we should think about it.
The Khmers!
-sorry i'm one among those null who don't know what to do besides screaming out. i really don't know what to do. if i didn't have anything to be proud of, i would always shut up even though my country's this lame laggard. but i love this country, and i'm not happy with it now. YOU! don't ever dream of leading the country if u r this ignorant. please! it's enough for all these DULL leaders.
how can i not die?

Cambodia: Costs to Be Poor
-Lost self-identity: projection on the poor, selflessness. Even worse, you also forget or force yourself to forget who you are. How much have we lost so far? Our culture, people, history, and legacy...
-Always poor: slow man or sick man can't progress. Maybe you do but still a backstage.
-Exploitation: poor people are easy to exploit because it's just so. Luckily, no one can eradicate you in today's world.
-Foreigners come to visit cambodia to have sex with its children. That explains by itself.
-Even worse, immorality has deeply implanted in this society. Imagine even a father can do that to its own daughter. It really bothers my eyes to read all those headings.
-Existing to only bother others to help. Beggar. No self-esteem. Without donors, can it still be a nation? Of course. But yeah we still need to help Cambodia.
-like polluted water, it allows all those rubbish to be born to just tear the country down.

- In Thailand, it never suffered from any war and that is because of its competent leaders.
- Vietnameses say they suffered from many years of wars, but never suffered from a lack of heros.
- In Cambodia, we say we never lack of histories to say, but it's just too many to describe in words. A sahme to you poelpe.

I'm very much Inspired by this girl.
There shouldn't be any intervention from those small guys. The market simply follows the pattern of demand and supply. Probably, the more we do intervene in the case, the more raping cases there would be. The Cambodians!!! It's about all these smart young girls...
Street Children...
These children are growing to be thieves, robbers, devils... threats to social stability.. There should be a way to eradicate these grassroots.
What is the cause to be borne as the Cambodian? Our history never says that.

Should We Get Involved in Premarital Sex?
1. Yes - To avoid post marriage disatisfaction. (50%)
2. Yes - To enjoy ourselves. (20%)
3. No - It's a bad culture. (10%)
4. No - To avoid future inconvenience and suffering. (20%)
According to the research, 70% of the responses is in favor of having premarital sex. There shouldn't be any sampling error coz my blog is visited by all kids of people (good and bad, guys and gals) within the target group, youth. In general, people therefore supports the idea of having sex before marriage.
One more trend can also be observed; more and more people are starting to think more carefully about their post marriage life. The solid objection to premarital sex lies down on potential future inconvenience and suffering. Playing safe is thus crucial in maintaining love relationship.
Emm.. what else should i say?
Oh.. btw, i shouldn't have picked No 3 at all.

Green Love ស្នេហាស្នេហា!
Starting to look more deeply into the world revolution, i feel that almost anything actually flow around the same thing. Firstly, it starts and then booms up upon a point in time it reaches its peak. Lastly, it's forced to plunge its head down again AND attention will be catched here as most of us (if not all) wouldn't wana lose those good things we always have. *Bell curve always applies*. Look at the world revolution, you know, sth like green house, green fuels, green car, green ads, green certificate, green whatever...
I like talking about love for some reason. I dunoe, i just try to understand. You know, since love is a depletable resource, it will someday deplete. Simple reason, attractive gals attract emm. As love always gives us good feelings, we wouldn't wana see it go exhausted, am i right?
If you believe so, it means that we needa try find way to make our love green to sustain the good emotion (you know the heaven). Personally, i got some ideas of how to make it green. And there they go...
-Dun look at others when you're still with your partner
-Dun do only those things you love to - care some to how your partner feels
-Dun kiss or hold your partner too little or too loose
-Dun spend too much coz resources are also exhaustable
-Dun go to bed without saying i love you
-Dun do this: gals always say he's not sensitive, dun liao jie understand me. Guys say she never tells me what she wants.. i dun understand her! -- after all, dun expect too much that others understand you, rather try to understand each other and sometimes good to directly tell him/her how you feel and what you want. Never be angry coz cambodians say ខឹងខុស ខឹងខូច ខឹងខាត
-Dun ask your partners how many and/or how much s/he have been with coz you never know who will be upset
-Dun look away when your partner is looking at you coz you never know what s/he wants
-Du have sex before marriage to secure pain when lai wang - splitting up (green always ha..)
Just how i feel.. love should be green. But how green is green? i dun know. Emm.. Would you like to go green, go with me :->>>

if i have a girlfriend!
Stupid to recall my secondary 9.. i ran away when hearing that gal was felling over me. haha oh man, i thought i somehow liked her also. Duno what the hell wrong with me. Otherwise, i'd have had galfrn since my sec.
As i remember i just couldn't talk to gals until like final day in my old NUM uni. In hi Sch, i fall onto this grade 9 gal who would always stopped by infront of my rented house listening to my song conveying love msg to her. I learnt composing songs since then. She'd always smile or even joked with friends about me. Looking at her for 3 yrs plus, i was never able to talk to her. After my baccalaureate exam, i shouted out my result (proudly) to her while she was riding past my house. Somehow i saw her laugh a lot (suspectedly in a good way) and call her sister to come watch at me... emm. Few last times, i dared to go eat porridge breakfast at her store (never talk either). THE story ended about 2 yrs later after i went to PP for uni (she alr married to a young teacher there).
Hardly talk to gals in my uni... so commited to studying that time (so ridiculous to flash back).
Coming to Sgp, somehow i breathed in a little courage.. starting talking to gals, not much though. After many failed attempts, i realized later that all the girls i crushed on had alr been attached (even worse almost all attached to my friends, and even worst to my close friends)... sorry for that guys...
You know when you feel like having galfrn, you just can't avoid thinking of lots of things... n now i just wana call back my thoughts that time...
1st thing ((( if i have a galfrn, i will give her seven best things - ooo just to make it different, impressive, and ya ppl always like 7 - and ya that's for my gf yahhn)))

Time To Study Again
How can it be not boring?
Old year's passed, new year's come. I can't believe i grow up this fast. Unexpected... lots of things were just going too fast. I should have expected it.
Tmr school starts and i'm still in the middle of nowhere. I wish i wouldn't needa come back. I wish the night could be longer so i don't needa wake up so hazy.
As long as i could remember from last year....
-my gpa dived too deep in the sea
-i lost my self control for quite some time
-i finally refreshed myself for a while b4 getting back to the dust again
-i finally opened up a company with my friends...
-i suddenly become a manager for quite a while
-i can feel that i grow
-the final round, i lost the battle outside the boxing ring (i should have beaten him with another style)
-i got a chocolate dream sms and i volunteerily broke my heart
-i make a tough decision to stop loving anyone till a gd time comes
-my brother finally got married
-my father left me again and forever...
-i met lots of ppl and made lots of friends ever
-i still wonder why i made my working environment that ineffective (i should have done better)
-i bought a quitar, a khmer tror, and a flute
-the gal who take away my heart finally gives me back so i can still live with love (what should have been better?)
-so far as i remember two of my girl friends were exploited in some way (i hate them!)
-tgd with this year's travel, i would have finished visiting all my country's 24 provinces with only 5 left.
-i still remember lots of things happened and it was all about money
-and now what i feel the most is that i'm really really very extremely broke after all... (why am i still happy though?)
A lot of things i just still can't understand!
Whatever... new year's seeking for a new beginning... that's one of the very few words i like to scream out.
Prosperous new year everyone, especially me.
