$100 Laptop Set for Launch

Here's coming a new technology. Damn cheap laptops, produced by a philanthropic group of designers led by Nicholas Negroponte - co-founder of the Media Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - would start coming next week as explained by the project's chief technical officer, Mary Lou Jepsen.

The laptop becomes this cheap due to a new idea of flash exploit and a rethink of a fundamental design of the screen. As described by MS Jepsen, the new laptop employs flash memory rather than a hard drive which is expensive and power hungry and is also the leading cause of hardware failure in laptops.

The new screen design helps bring the cost down to only a third of the normal screen cost of over $100. Also, the new screen takes a maximum of only 14% of the power consumption, is readable in sunlight, and has a high resolution.

Wow... see how incredible these small human beings are. Ok be prepared for a change. Dun underestimate yourselves by the way. Go ahead with your dream... emm i also have a friend who wishes to create a device that can transfer knowledge to human brain. I wish to see that innovation haha.

Angkor-Gyeongju World Culture Expo 2006

Cambodia and Korea have recently cohosted the first astounding cultural expo in Angkor, Cambodia. The event is organized for 50 days from 21 Nov 06 to 9 Jan 07 and more than 20 countries have joined. Cambodian and Korean heroes opened together the unprecedented cultural cooperation event on the 21 Nov.

The joint cultural festival shows cultural performances and various exhibitions of the two countries' culture.

It should be noticed that the relationship between Cambodia and Korea over these years have been improving a lot. Though there seems to be only a small significant growth in the direct investment from Korea to Cambodia, there is a great deal of cooperation in culture among the two countries, not forgetting Japan also. Lots of Cambodian performers and cultural artists have been subsidised by Korean and Japanese governments to bring their culture for exposure to the outside world, not only in Japan and Korea. Thanks for that. Now we can notice that more and more tourists, especially Japaneses and Koreans, are flooding to Cambodia each year- 1 out of 5 tourists coming to Cambodia is Korean (the largest group) according to the government survey.

I hope there are more and more of such kind of event to raise people's awareness of the country, increase the number of tourists, and thus improve the country economy. Yeah many thanks to Korea and Japan.

New Composition

Declare you "MY PRINCESS"

Here's another of my composition of English songs. Well i'm posting it in my class now... emm, a bit out of mind these days. Anyway it's for the one that you all love, and the one that i love as well...

i. oh ho.. oh ho.. my love, it's so beautiful..
everytime i'm next to you (you know), it's so incredible
you make me feel the love, and you help me stand tall
i can always go on as long as i've got you.. beside my heart.

R1. No matter how you feel, or how you think about me
forever you'll be my love...
and i just want to declare that NOW YOU ARE MY PRINCESS
you can control my breath, you can put down my light..
oh yeah.. hey yeah.. hey yeah hey.

ii. oh ho.. oh ho.. the love, what such a feeling
i can never imagine, how i can get all these smiles
you've given me the wings, now i can fly so high
feel like walking in the sky, coz of the light of love.

(Repeat R1)

R2. I never mean to require, that you'd come to be mine
just wanna get beside your soul...
just do as how you feel
though my heart, my soul'd be killed
it'd never be your guilt as you're now my lord.. my love..

(Repeat R1).
-End-

Trans-Asian Railway Network (TAR) Coming Soon

The so-called Iron Silk Road Project, which is initiated by the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia Pacific since 1960, will come to force 90 days after the remaining 9 countries agree to sign the intergovernmental agreement on the 81,000 km network project.

The 9 countries, comprising of Bangladesh, N Korea, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, and Turkmenistan, are given 2 more years to decide on their taking part in the project.

18 countries, including China, Indonesia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia, signed the agreement on Nov 10 in S Korea.

The rail-integrated TAR, which links capitals, ports and industrial hubs across 28 Asian nations all the way to Europe, will enhance the transport network in the whole region. It will improve the port efficiency, avoid port congestion, and especially help the landlocked countries to get an easier access to the world markets.

It seems to be a good initiation, but i dun understand why the rest of the countries are reluctant to sign. Is it because those countries such as Singapore and Malaysia don't seem to get any special advantages or benefits from the project? Emm... can't see the reason especially for Singapore. it'd gain a lot from its very active port by transporting products to the mainlands. Or is it because of the possible reduction in its port activities due to the switch to rail transport? Immigration problems?

Anyway, i wish to see it happen asap.

Composition: I'm Broken Heart

This is my very first composition of English song... 'Broken Heart' is dedicated to my room that we were together in the prehistoric days of today's life. Now she's gone and never come back. I wish to meet her somewhere some time. (haven't found out the chords yet)

I. Waking up in the morning just to see...

the nature of this lonely world

now i just keep walking... over the room we were in

and everything's so terrible... in my life...

II. I was trying so hard not to think...

that you were always be here

since now that you've gone and now that i know

my tears keep flowing... into my heart...

(Chorus1). aa...i'm broken heart and i dun wana wake up any more

i wana let you know that you're breaking my soul

and i dun wana live in this room no more

as all the memories're (with you) making me like a fool...

i see and think, i hope and dream

that you'd be back... oh... oh...

iii. Now i cry every night to dry my tears...

to wipe out all the stain

to feel all the fears, to clear all the pains

to erase you from my brain

and to stand by myself...

(Chorus 2) But i just can't deny... that you're always in my eyes

your face is still inside... my head...

and i can't forget you... and i need you to come back...

music... chorus1 -> iii -> chorus2.

i just know i miss her though i dun know how she is now... wana see her face...
